Re: Playing 99/TT to passive?
Grunching
These hands are hard for me too. I Raise the first and 3b the 2nd and bet the flop. On the first you might get ck/r but more info. Get rid of straglers b4 they hit an overcard. I might bet the river in 2nd. |

Re: Playing 99/TT to passive?
*grunch*
I think the first hand is OK, but I MAY bet the flop. I really dislike the second hand though. First, I 3 bet pre-flop to fold everyone else behind me, and get position. Even if you don't 3 bet, I definitely bet the flop with my overpair. Raising the turn is good, but what's with the river check? I'm not that afraid of a jack, and I think the bet is for value here. |

Re: Playing 99/TT to passive?
Preflop you can raise and reraise both hands. I hate coldcalling, and your tens are good enough for a reraise.
I would bet the flop in both hands. You have overpair, just bet, I would even 3-bet if I could. In hand 2 you could as well bet the river, since you probably have to call anyway |

[ QUOTE ]
What would you do with a lower pocket pair with no overcards on the flop? Say you have 77 and the flop is 2 4 6 rainbow? [/ QUOTE ] I would say bet in most cases, but only if you're confident enough to play the turn and river even after an overcard hits (which it usually will). |
