I mentioned this on my blog as well as the fact that I finished something like 800/1700.
Some guy commented that I finished higher than him....and he was actually there to play the thing.

this isn't unusual of course....you can get blinded-off in almost any tourney and stand a good chance to finish in the top-half. But I still think it's funny the number of players you can beat by not even showing up.

Bob, you're playing at the wrong site. I presigned up for a $20+2 at doyles room yesterday, then the internet provider lost all connections to teh whole island here. I get back from shopping in town and check out of curiosity...

120 entrants, 18 paid. I made 23rd.

Default Reinventing the wheel

"If it takes a zillion hands to get a WSOP entry via Stars...then perhaps prima or crypto or full-tilt or absolute or somebody will come along with an attempt to attract such a high-volume player who wants to try doing something like this."

Hmmmm, why didn't someone think of that before ...... wait, I think ODoyle did .... even if it turned out my head was much bigger ....

You do not need a VIP program to do this, but I would appreciate crtiques and plaudits for the current offerings, so I can figure out what we might be able to better.

Thanks,

Truepoker CEO

this would be great if it is going to be available to players at all the limits and not just a mtt freeroll every month or something like that.

OK. With all due respect: 20x bonus/no RB is not competitive.

In your player points program you mean??

Hey, I would love to get 50k or 60k points for a Vegas trip or Bahamas cruise.
But your site is just too difficult to play on.
I have a very difficult time seeing the board-cards and who is betting. The board cards are very small and are angled away from me.

I don't know if you have responded to the request for a 2d and/or mini-view version (like UB or Prima) but if you have I would love for you to repeat your thoughts on this.

I could play more at True if the tables were more user-friendly.

true has great incentives for high-volume play...and happens to be the site where it might be the most difficult to actually play a high-volume (trailing only pacific of course).

But I would think that a WSOP or WPT-PCA package would cost somewhere around 1-million-trillion-gazillion FPP's.

[/ QUOTE ]

I believe 800K is the going rate, or at least that's what one player I know of was offered.

Also, can I have a link to your blog?

Crikey!

WPT package would seem more like 500-600k, but I guess I was wrong. I mean, if you do the math from the PCA sats, that's the going rate, but straight buy in must cost more...

Yeah; If, as Clayton suggests, that's 200K FPP overpriced, I think he's still getting a good deal, being one of the few--if not only--players to preview a VIP-type package. I don't think anyone can complain about turning monopoly money into a WPT entry and Carribean vacation.
