I really don't want to wait around and have to continue searching for deals just to save a few bucks on the dell 2001 fp. I went to future shop and saw this monitor. It looks really sweet but is a little more. Was 999 Canadian, with tax 1150. Can anyone please look over the monitor and tell me if it is a decent buy? Will I be able to 4 table on it and watch DVD's with good picture? How does it size up to the dell 2001fp

You can 4-table and watch DVDs on it, but not at the same time.

This is a nice monitor, slightly better than the Dell, but more expensive. You can read a good review here:

The monitor is awesome. In person it is better than the 2001FP--but more expensive. you are in canada so I'm not sure if you can get the deals on the Dell. Search around, but you won't be disappointed with this monitor.

I have the big brother to this one (24" widescreen) and it is outstanding. Other applications like spreadsheets and video editing are much nicer to use in widescreen.

Have heard excellent things and seems a little better quality than the 2001. I say go for it if you can afford it, if not go with 2001.

Many people don't care about the response time, but you might.

Dell response time: 16 ms

Samsung response time: 25 ms

If you're a gamer, you might notice ghosting or other effects.

Newegg has the same monitor for 560 USD after rebate, picked one up myself today.

$560 makes more sense. $999 for that monitor didn't make sense as you could probably get two 2001s for a thousand bucks these days or close to that price anyway.
