It's only as simple as that if you didn't watch the games or you are talking out your ass.

Cards won a very close NLCS in 7 games, with Houston going back to STL up 3 games to 2 and STL needing to win both their remaining games.
Astros won an NLCS that they pretty much dominated in 6 games.

In the 2004 WS, Boston dominated STL, winning each of the final 3 games by three runs or more.

In the 2005 WS, the White Sox won 2 games by two runs, and two games by 1 run, with one of the two run victories coming in 14 innings.

You guys are never gonna get anywhere... steel is right because the stros played harder, and made more of a contest out of it, and dirty is right because in the end, it all comes down to the W.

Nah, they played 4 games in the WS last year and only 5 in the NLCS this year.

Astros played 4 and 7. Nitpicking, yes, but trying to prove point.

Using this logic, the Colorado Rockies and the Philadelphia Phillies both had equal years this year right? Neither one made the playoffs. Nevermind that one was competitive and missed the playoffs by one game and the other was mired in the cellar the entire year.
