Cell phone plan/carrier comparisons

Is there a decent, trustworthy site for rating different cell phone carriers and their plans? I did a Google search, and a crapload came up. I don't know which are independent and which are some sort of affiliate and getting money for referrals.

Basically my wife and I don't need anything fancy, but we'd like to get one plan (and two phones) for the both of us. The phone features don't matter. I live in the Chicago area, if that matters.

I did similar analysis when selecting a carrier. Based on overall coverage and number of anytime minutes per dollar spent I found Verizon to be the best.

I am actually leaning towards Verizon at this point.
