Newest JRE broke my firefox :(
So I use firefox, and yesterday, the little coffee cup on my status bar blinks at me. So I click it, and - lo and behold - there's a new Java Runtime Enviroment. I download and install it, and then I reopen firefox and notice that none of my animated gifs are animated anymore. To me, my poor avatar looks like a black square
So, is it the new JRE, is firefox just being dumb like it (often) is, or... is it something else entirely? Help me, folks! OOT just doesnt look right without Stuey's masterwork. |

Re: Newest JRE broke my firefox :(
Heya yasher,
I am sure that it is not the JRE per se that is the culprit, works fine on mine. The installation of the latest Firefox, however could reset some of its settings and disable some extensions which are incompatible. You can re-load the latest version for most, with a few exceptions, which will, no doubts, be remedied in the near future. |
