I also live in UK, but have switched to using amazon.com not .co.uk.

I had the same thing happen to me with HOH1 and amazon.co.uk. Except I didn't even get an email. I found out when my shipment came without the book. I wrote them to ask why and never heard back.

This happened to me with Mastering NL HE at Overstock. It got cancelled, and they "forgot" to tell me. I ended up getting $5 off my next purchase, and another 10% off any purchase unique coupon. Not bad considering I could order the book again that day, and got it 3 days later.
