Default MGM Grand Spreading H .O.R.S.E. During WSOP...

Yes, the first strip casino to offer a low limit H.O.R.S.E. game, to my knowledge... Beginning Thursday night, and pretty much throughout the WSOP, anyone interested in playing $2-$4 H.O.R.S.E., the MGM has been spreading the game. This is also good news for the "Magoos", or whoever may have been worried about the capabilities of MGM dealers making it through a 1/2 hour down on those kind of mixed games. Everything seemed to be fine the last couple of nights. Just go into the poker room and let them know you are interested in starting up a game (if 1 isn't running already) and I'm sure they'll accomodate... Thursday's game went from about 8pm til 3am before it broke, and Fridays game was from 9pm until about 430am...

I played this HORSE (and at times HORPSE, with the silent p for "pineapple," similar to JOPKE) game on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday -- great all four days, though Thurs night upstairs was best. We had a rock in play at the second (!!) HORSE table Thurs night and man was it wild. I was the guy with the brown trout card protector & the raggedy party poker hat...

MGM rules for spreading this game!! Now if there was only a way to get Centrifuge to get a little more variety in its music selection, things would be even better... "3, 2, 1, reeeeee-miiiiixxxxx... I wanna rock..." gets a little old after the 879th time.

Well, I'll say this: you guys have a great staff, dealers and floor. I really enjoyed talking to everyone I sat at the table with, as well as the various floor staff. Having played in many other card rooms, I have to say folks elsewhere aren't often as friendly. Gina, Shelly, Anna, Eddie, and the southern guy who bolts out "rrrraise" every time someone raised were favorites, as well as your beautiful 22-year old floor (her name escapes me at the moment).

Glad to hear it...I admit, myself, that this is one hell of a poker staff. I feel privelaged to have a chance to work with this group. I am glad to hear it from yourself, and many others, about how great the staff is... We shall see how they do with the "Magoo" bunch in a couple of weekends from now... If they make good with their promise of reserving the 4 or 5 tables needed for this group on a busy Saturday night, then they've earned the highest marks in my book...

The girls dancing on the tables is a nice diversion, however.

Ditto all the good things said about the MGM room. I was there playing 4/8 and 6/12 last weekend and enjoyed myself, despite getting my ass kicked.

Now that's just too cool.

I'd so love it if someone on the east coast (hmm... you mean... Satan... I mean Foxwoods?)

Alas Foxwoods only spreads mixed games at higher limits than I'd want to play. Then again, it seems like the entire room is going to be converted to rock garden spread-limit Stud and binky-stakes NLHE before long.

And when they do spread a mixed game, it's often HOE. I don't want to play in no HOE game. Heck, I'd be a lot happier with HOSER, HOSE, ROSE, HORPSE, THORPE, or especially any mixed game without an "H" in it.
