$30/hr seems excessive. If your bankroll is $4,000, even if you started with $100, you would hit $4,000 after only 130 hrs of play at 30/hr. Have you only played 130 hrs at 1/2?

dont know how many hours ive played, just that ive been stayed at 1-2NL short handed since last november and am up around $11,000-$12,500.
Ive had to cash out most of it to a)pay off debts and b) spend money down the pub etc

i now really want to move up to 2-4NL short handed its just a pain a dont have the bankroll yet, and im finding the 1-2NL just not inspiring enough anymore after playing it for almost a year, i feel i have the game for the 2-4NL, just lacking the bankroll.

Just i kept records for the first couple of months when i just 1 tabled 1-2Nl and i was on $37/hr for that table

I am pretty sure this is not a sustainable winrate for 200NL...that comes to about 18bb/100 by my math.

if u can sustain this then you are more than ready for 400

my PT stats show 16BB/100 at 1/2NL....over a sample size of 1k hands lolol.

but seriously, if you're pulling in 5+BB/100 over a significant sample size and have the roll and the confidence, move up and take a shot. at worst you know the 1/2 game is always there.
