Default .05/.10 hand

a friend of mine just had this go down...

Hero ~ 7.00
Villian covered

Hero dealt KhJh mid to late position
early position raised pot, 1 caller, Hero calls, villian calls

Flop comes KsKd8h (pot ~.55)

check check, Hero bets .70, villain called, early position raises $1, Hero calls, villian calls

Turn Qs
Hero checks, villian bet $2, EP folds, hero calls

River 9h
Hero checks, villian sets Hero all in...

HERO????

.05/.1 is the staple of my NL diet. Several things seem wrong with this hand to me. First how much did the EP guy raise? If the pot is only .55 (rake included) I am guessing he mini raised.

I don't like the fact whoever is sitting there with $7, in .05/.1 HE you should always have the max buy in of $20. I also don't like the flop cold call.

Mini raise EP could be 88s AAs or AK. Could even be KQs. I see lots of mini raises in EP with AA.

There should be almost $10 or more in the pot and Hero would have $3 left. I think you're pot committed to call, and hoping for a misplayed AA or Kx.
