I would like some suggestions from some of you here.

I'm about to order a set of chips for a tourney. The chip color/amounts are going to be:

green 25
black 100
purple 500
yellow/orange 1000

First, we have about 10 guys playing regularly, and I would like to do a T1500 or T2000 tourney that lasts about 3-4 hours using these colors. I would like the blinds not to be too crazy.

I'm thinking 20 minute rounds of:

25-50
50-100
75-150

100-200
200-300
300-400

400-500
500-1000
700-1400

1000-2000
1500-3000
2000-4000
2500-5000

etc.

I would like to keep it at a 500 chip set...

Ok, here are the questions:

How many of each chip should I order?
Should I even bother with the 1000 chip, go to a 5000, or scrap it and get more of the lower chips?

Any suggestions on chip amounts or better blind structure?
Keep in mind i don't want 1 or 5 chips, as that's for the cash games on the side.

you have the BB 10% of the starting stack after just 40 minutes of play (t1500) or 60 minutes (t2000). For what it's worth, we run 30 minutes rounds with roughly equal blinds/levels and start with 10k with 14-20 people and play about 4.5 to 5.5 hours.

1. If people are that much action junkies, try running 2 small tourneys with more brutal structure.

2. Tourneys ALWAYS start late. I just assume when figuring time that it will be 30 minutes after the alleged start time when it will actually start.
