A good time to bluff or a bad time to bluff?

Mid stages of $100 buy in MTT. 210 players start. Down to 70. Big money top 5. I have about 11,000 chips. Average is approx. 7,000. Villian in this hand is the SB. He has approx 22,00 chips. He is the chip leader. He's done nothing far out of the ordinary; seems like a skilled player, knows what he's doing, using his stack to his advantage but not overdoing it.

Blinds are 200/400. I am in BB with with 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. UTG raises to 800. Folded to SB. SB completes. I complete. 3 to the flop with 2400 in the pot.

Flop comes 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Small blind checks. I bet 2000. UTG folds. SB calls. Pot is now 6400. Turn comes J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. BB bets 3000 into me.

Good time to semi-bluff all in, or good time to fold?

Just need some clarification. I take it the SB bet into you on the turn? It is hard to put him on the top set as he checked the flop on that board.

He is probably drawing to the nut flush A7[s]? I would not try the bluff only because he has you covered significantly] and may have enough incentive to call your bluff.

You are correct. He bet into me on the turn.

Don't forget, Raven, that I have a pair of fours, too. So IF your read is correct, I am ahead. I guess an all-in would be sort of a mix between a semi-bluff and the possibility of being ahead if called.
