Default Value of Small PPs vs. Suited Connectors Preflop

Which has better implied odds, assuming a whole bunch of callers preflop: 67s or pocket threes? Why?

it depends (duh). suited connectors need position more, and they prefer passive post-flop players. i would take a small pair pretty much every time though.

I would go with small pocket pairs.

Reasons:

1. a set is hidden and hard to read on the flop.

2. its easier to have some one hit hard with a second best hand to your set, ie two pair, trips.

While 67 and other suit connectors have good implied odds, you are a little less likly to double through with a flop like 66A. As you are with a flop with 33 , AA3.
