Default Absolute Poker Problem

Ok, last post for the day. I'm having major problems with Absolute Poker's interface. When I play Absolute, I cant do anything else on my computer...it freezes all my other programs. Does anyone else have problems with Absolute? Is there anything I can do 'bout this?

FWIW, I was having a problem with my mouse pointer disappearing when it was over any of Absolute's windows. This happens periodically especially when the virtual memory on my PC kicks in. I tried restarting Absolute which didn't help but I then rebooted and that fixed it.

bonus-whores has mentioned that Absolute can be rather draining on a computer's resources.....more-so than other sites.
i'm kind of curious as to why this is actually.

anyway, i'm on a dial-up line....but my computer is fairly new and virus-free and i don't have any terribly noticeable issues with absolute.

i can tell it's a little sluggish when i'm changing pages on 2+2 and opening my e-mail and p-tracker all at the same time....i was disconnected from on hand when i had a little more than usual going on....but overall it hasn't caused me troubles.

the issues may be in your computer, memory or operating system....but i don't anything more about computers except how to say those terms.

Gabbyyyy actually seems to be pretty knowledgeable about computers (at least more than me) and may have ideas.

As a layman, I do understand its a software capacity problem. My home computers have a lot of RAM and P4's. I don't have problems at Absolute: I can run 3 screens (4 if I play a tourney as well) and my TV program in all four corners, with no problems.

If I play Absoulute Pokers at my friend's house, I notice the problems others have talked about. But, I must say my friend's computer has significantly less RAM than my computers.

Finally, I do not believe its a connection issue or if it matters what type of internet service you use.
