Ok, the Mets are probably the worst run team in the league right now

maybe ON the filed, but FO wise they are looking much better than the yankees.

lawrence is right, and has obviously actually been watching yankee games recently. hes still adjusting to the majors and hes getting better every week, and has some crazy stretches. his obp does need work, but he is a rookie.

which is kinda the reason i was surprised to see you put him #2. even seasoned vets sometimes prefer to hit lower in the order. although, like i said considering who hitting there now it cant be all that bad. funny, francona seems to have this fixation on batting edgah 2nd (againt LH i agree, he should be #2) despite his struggles against RHP and his desire to bat lower in the order. who knows

hes really streaky, so his stats arent really representative. when he is hitting the ball well he goes on a tear, and is much stronger than bernie or womack. he started off his career 4/30 or something, then went 320 for two weeks or so, etc.

if were putting one of the weak guys in 2nd, bernie cano or two, i choose cano.

cant argue there. one is one way up, the other down. one is slow, one is not.

Honestly, it's not like you couldn't egt someone that isn't a complete embarrasment in left field - a Dave McCarty or a Juan Rivera, etc, would actually be a sizeable upgrade.
