This time, the guy first to act bets, and four people call.

First guy to act calls, and two people fold.

4 to the river, pot is now so big that my heart is racing in anticipation.

My thinking went like this

son of a ______ god_____mother_____piece of____diamond un ______believable

SO...assuming i was beat, i did what i felt i had to do....break into academy award winning mode and bet the river with a speech.....

I put a grin on my face and said simply, i'd hate to have the J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] in this spot...then asked the table if anyone was going to call.....and proceeded to bet.....

wow. just wow. you just said you had AxQd lol...anybody who knows anything about poker would be pleased as punch to get that $200 in there with virtually any diamond.

You never know. I think the pot is so friggin huge you might as well bet the river becuase every once in awhile the guy might lay down a baby flush. Tex's play is highly consistent with a made flush so he has a chance.

While I don't agree with the river speech, anybody who knows anything about poker would most probably make a crying call with any diamond. But they would not be happy about it and they would sometimes fold.

I have mixed feelings about your speech. But I would bet the river here in an attempt to kill someone's baby flush, with full intentions of folding to a raise from anyone. Who's bluffing you out in this pot at this point?

By the way, did you drop your stack of high society, or did you play with the best, and win?
