fwiw, i think nomar would be a fine 1B. also, all things being equal i dont think he will sign with the NYY. he hates the media (i dont blame him). of course if they offer more $$$$$ he will sign there.

There isa slim chance he winds up with the indians, and it rests on three factors.
1. Relationship with wedge, they were teamates.
2. Greater likeliehood of playing time. 3rd first and right were all holes for the indians last year that garciapara could concieveably fill.
3. Most important- a one year deal where he can prove hes healthy and capable of hitting >300 again, then go out and get a 3-5 year contract next year.
