Final Pot: t2100

The first hand I think I should have folded and looked for a better spot as KQ was too likely.

The second one really felt like he had pocket aces after the flop call and turn lead. Would any one let that one go?

Hand One - The flop call was bad. Either fold or raise all in. You can't afford to give a card to any draw here.

Hand Two - I cannot believe you didn't raise the rest of his chips at any point. If he showed AA then you got lucky and saved a few chips, but in the long run it is terrible to not get all of his chips in the pot on this hand. You will get shown AA less than 5% of the time here.

I think you played both hands weakly.

Hand 1 is push or fold on the flop. If you believe he has KQ (or a set) then fold, if not push and get the drawing hand out of the hand or at least give him incorrect odds to call. Don't give him more cards.

Hand 2, yeah, call and lead is always scary, but the odds of them having the one hand that beats you is so small, I don't think it's worth folding at 16s. I think he could just as easily have AK/AQ or a Heart draw (though less likely with A of hearts out there). I would have bet a little more on the flop (pot size, 300), and pushed the turn.

Maybe your reads are just better than mine, but if they are you need to trust them more. In both cases if your beat, fire up a new SNG, if not enjoy the extra chips.

Hand one I think you are right calling was bad but I don't think it is much worse that going all in. At best I think I am agents a pair and a gut shot. If I push he is getting about 2:1 on his call and I doubt he is folding. With a call I can fold the turn if a fourth str8 card comes and still have some chips to play with.

The second hand I would be curious to know what you think he has. Maybe if he is a complete donk he would play A2 like that. I think he has AA way more that 5% of the time.

I guess that is why I posted these hands. I am trying to get better at my reads and I am never sure how much I can trust them. Too many times I think I things like "This is a 16+1 and there are lots of donks at the 16+1. I can't fold." only to find out I was wrong.

hand 1: raise more preflop
players dont respect 5xBB when it's just 1/10 of their stack.
raise all-in or fold the flop

hand 2: push the flop.
