i dont get it, are you doing one of those bet-the-river-because-im-calling-anyway bets? I muck the turn, looks like button either has an overpair or set.

I don't understand the river bet. I don't see villain calling with anything you beat, and I don't think he is folding a pair of 8s or better.

If its not check-call then he should have folded the turn...

I think the pot is too big to fold a gutshot+set outs+even a small chance he's raising for a free showdown on the turn.

I would definitely check-call. But the only hand I see us beating is a busted spade draw. I don't think his turn raise is for a free showdown. I doubt his preflop raising range from MP1 hits that board, unless it's a set.

I may play unimaginatively, but I don't see whats wrong with check/folding the river with villain's aggression factor of 1.

The problem is that hero only has 160 hands on villain (not nearly enough for aggression factor to converge). In the Party 20 game, this could easily be a busted flush draw 10% of the time, which he will bet if checked to.

Thanks for answering. So checkcalling would be the best river play? If its a busted flush draw then we gain nothing from betting.
