Default ($33) Bring shorty ai with J2?

450 more chips from me will bring the BB all in. I know he'll call with any two for pot odds based on several previous hands. Is J2 good enough?

You're about 45% against a random hand, which is exactly what the BB will have. You need to put in 450 to win the 950 in the pot (consider him all in) so you are definitely getting odds to do so. PUUUSH.

If we look at this as a purely pot odds decision, what would then be the lowest cards i should take him in for? I would need a hand that is i suppose about 30-35% to win against a random hand, which would be nearly any 2 cards, right?

I'd go ahead and put him all in. BUT one thing that you might want to consider is that if you fold, you can push any two the next hand UTG. You will have effectively created a 'bubble' for 2nd place. That's probably too fancy though, just put the shortstack all-in here.

j2o is 44% vs a random hand, not nearly as bad as one might think

If I did play this hand with the BB I wouldn't push. I probably limp, then push the flop. If you know he's going to call the push, then this play can only help you when you hold a less than average hand like J2. Anything Q9 or better I'll move in preflop.

hmmmmm folding is out of the question...
