I am pretty sure that ESPN and Phil have a good relationship. I have seen phil hellmuth be a commentator on ESPN on the old like 97 and 98 WSOPs.

Oh I agree that the relationship is good. I think that it is 99% show business, both his presentation and ESPN's commentator's coverage. I still found it funny, a in sort of a pro-wrestling folding chair kind of way.
