What I had heard through the grapevine when I was there was that she was some Japanese movie star. I had gotten curious because there were usually TV cameras following her around.

Could've been a game show winner, too - I can't be sure that what I heard was true.

The game shows in Japan are even weirder than the ones here, so who knows what was up.
