Default Really Stupid Question. Please answer. Monitors AND Pressure Spots..

I'm a computer novice, so please don't laugh at me.

I'm looking for a 20 inch monitor and have seen a few on EBay but according to the description they are being sold cheaply because they are slightly defective. They all seem to have 2 Pressure Spots in the top of the screen. Now i know this gonna sound stupid but what exactly is a pressue spot? How this effect the clarity of the monitor? Am I better off just buying a new one. I'm not super anal about small defects (like scratches) but i don't want something that's gonna effect the screen.

Thank you in advance for any replies. I know this may sound like a dumb question to all you computer experts.

i'm not sure what they mean by pressure spots, but buying used monitors (especially CRT [aka not flat panels]) is not usually a good idea. get a new one.
