Default Steal attempt leads to tough flop situation. Fold or Push?

Overall the Table was very tight. Villian had been playing the role of Move in Specialist. The villians raise (instead of push) of my flop bet was very confusing. Given the stack sizes, is this a push or fold?

far far too many of your chips in there now - push & pray (though i don't like his min-raise...knowing you're likely to call).

ps. given your attempt, and having caught a piece, and NOT folding your last 500 -- open-push this flop
