anyone know about poker campus? Short

Anyone play in Houston with Poker Campus? Has anyone heard of them? Looking for a local game and a Freind told me about them. I did a search, but found nothing

Yep, that's where I found my first games.

I was worried at first but when you look at some of the picture posts you can tell they are friendly games. Plus the moderator is very strict on only posting legal games.

Actually cops have used that same site to bust down illegal home games, but AFAIK in Texas they don't care and social gambling is allowed.

Connecticut, social games are allowed too. Some restaurants tried to take advantage of this. Holding NL tourneys with no money going to the house (though they didn't mind if you bought food and drinks there). One state official even blessed it.

Eventually (sigh) they changed their minds.

I guess that could have happened before I found them but these days they will not let you post ANY illegal games whatsoever at all period.

And in Texas it's not that they "don't care" games in private homes that do not take a rake and everybody has an equal chance to win are legal. [img]/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img]

Hey, Sub.
When I e-mailed them about playing they wanted my TDL,phone # ect. So that they could do a back ground check on me,to make sure that I was not a cop. I want to play, but I do not want to get busted or get played at the tables. I am sick of driving to Louisiana.

So you have played with then before? And all was alright?

I got the same email and had the same concerns. I've never been to one of their games.

I've never had anybody ask me for that info what game were you trying to play at?

What kind of games are they running in Houston? The only poker campus emails I have received are relating to some Tuesday night Poker Stars online tourney. I didnt know they had live games either ---- interesting....Anyone know of any other good Houston action? I have heard of some blacked out window strip-center type of clubs but have never been.

Any regular weekly games in Houston ?
