What's your plan in this spot? You have 1555 behind, with 1225 already in the pot. If you lead out, for how much? If villain comes over the top, are you calling? Would you consider open pushing the flop? Is anyone checking here?

I'm interested in hearing some discussion of different lines to take in this hand.

His non ace hand range is big enough to push the flop. AK would most likely reraise. You only have to fear AQ or AJ if he's a somewhat reasonable player. He could also have 66-99 or KQ or KJs, etc. The reason why I push is to not give a free card to KQ or KJ type hands.

Of course, if he's a donk in can be Ax you're up against here, but I still push.

with that stack size, i think i'd limp hoping to push over the top when someone raises.

This is where my game gets very akward too. I look foward to some educated responses here - because this is where my tourney game breaks down.

Very similarly to this - I get lost handling situations where my pre-flop raise is justifiable to my stack, but I feel compelled to do a continuation bet since the pot become half my stack, but the CB invariably makes me feel pot-committed and am often in a tough spot if C/Red all-in or cold-called if I'm oop.

Looking foward to this thread developing....

push the flop. you're not betting any increment that doesn't leave you pot committed, and you are already pot committed since ur stack is about the size of the pot. the A is an ugly card, but less ugly against one person, plus he can probably only call you if he has an A... you *might* get a better hand to lay down here (like JJ or something)

I think limp-reraise is probably your best bet. I think that if you open-pushed, you get looked up by AK and 22-99 a lot, but your stack's a little too big for that.

Although I don't mind the comments, what I'm really looking for here is discussion of the line to take on the flop. I think that is the most interesting part of this hand.

I think your line should be 100% determined by your image and your read on villain.
Any bet is a push.
