Default mid set 200 NL 6 max deep stacks

Sorry for not exact hand history, but PT messed up a lot of my hands on stars.

stack sizes:
Hero(360)
Villan had me covered.

I havent seen anything unusual from villan, not enough hands on him to have stats yet.

Game is 6 handed.

PF: He raises to 8 UTG I call on the button with JJ.

Flop(18): A74 he checks i check

Turn(18): A74J he bets 15 if make it 45 he just calls

River(108): A74JT he bets 75, hero?

I like a call here. His play is very consistent with AA. Your hand is too good to fold (obviously), but his line is too suspect to raise here, IMO.

[/ QUOTE ] I'm torn between this and raising. AK might play the same way, AQ if he's a bit looser, and they might call a river raise. Calling obviously the safer way to go

I understand, and AJ and AT might as well, thinking they can extract from a worse (or better, as in AK) ace. Also, a lower set might do this as well.

I just think if I got 3-bet on the river I would have to get a new keyboard, as mine would be covered in puke.

KK or QQ are also possibles in addition to Ax and AA. I'm not sure he calls you with anything that you beat. AJ would be the brightest possibility, but you having JJ lessens that. I'd probably play it safe and just call.

yea, i definatley sniffed aa when he was obviously slowplaying something on the flop. I agree that he doesnt call /w anything I beat other than at or aj. I dont think he would check either of those hands on the flop. I ended up just calling and he showed A5o.

If you don't feel like pushing, you can actuall just min raise(or a little higher).

He doesn't have KQ, and even if he has AA (which isn't likely), he really can't raise you.

He probably looks you up with Ax, two pair.

You should raise. There's one realistic hand that beats you, and this could just be a blocking or even a value bet from Villian. Most likely if he had AA he'd want to get more in the pot on the turn and thus, reraise you. If he has AA, then I think that this is a bad line. You miss a lot of value by not pushing in this spot.
