Default Flopped the nut straight..

Not sure if I'm happy with my play here or not. CO is fairly tight; I have no other reads. I'd recently lost an all-in in which I played pocket kings a bit too aggressively and lost to pocket aces.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $25NL (10 handed) http://216.119.70.224/converter/hhconverter.pl

Button ($27.45)

Hero ($27.25)
MP1 ($23.20)
MP2 ($19.75)
MP3 ($50.98)
CO ($70.51)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+2 with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.10.

BB checks, UTG+1 bets $2, Hero calls $2, MP2 folds, CO calls $2, Button folds, BB calls $2.

Turn: ($11.10) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
BB checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero bets $6, CO calls $6, BB folds, UTG+1 calls $6.

River: ($29.10) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
UTG+1 checks, Hero checks, CO checks.

Final Pot: $29.10

Don't mini-raise PF. KQs is a hand I like to limp on- not raise. If you do want to raise, at least make it $1.25 or so to cut down the field.

The flop is somewhat draw heavy-and there are some scare cards that can come (another diamond, pair the board, etc). I would try to get HU by the turn, or at least minimize the field. Raising the flop $5 more would work for me.

I would 1/2 pot the turn, probobly more likely to 3/4 pot it. The river is fine.

yuck

limp or make a real raise preflop

raise the flop, there's a flush draw. straights are not invincible.

as played, bet more on the turn...full pot

min raise pre flop is very weak, like others have said either limp or make a real raise..

Flop is fine, your only other option would be to check raise which is too risky on this board.

Turn bet more, not necessarily the pot, but bet something like 9 or 10 if not the entie pot.

River, you can make a small value bet here if you like, if you get come over the top of things get ugly. Something like 7 bucks giving everyone odds to call you (which judging by the pot size they will at this point).

Wow, where do I start..

Don't min. raise preflop. Just limp it if you want to play it.

The main problem here is calling the flop. A *lot* of the deck hurts your hand, you need to raise at least the size of the pot here.

Don't let these guys give you too much [censored] about the minraise preflop. You've got a big drawing hand and your building a nice multiway pot for it. I don't minraise often very seldom do you want lots of players against but big suited connected cards fall into a category where they have huge big hand potential with straights and flushes. Anyway .25 extra isn't going to make or break your bankroll.

Post flop: I push this flop. You've made the nuts but any diamond 9 t or j is scary as hell and your action may shut down if a k q 8 7 falls on the turn. By pushing you'll get action by the smaller straights two pairs and sets and put the flush draws in a bind. I wouldn't worry about not being called. Somebody will want to play with on this board.

Turn: bet big if you haven't got all the money in on the flop. You've got two flush draws out and if somebody didn't have two pair already the ace just made their two pair.

River: I put out a little bet and see if I can get a crying call from somebody.

Bottom line is minraising or not minraising preflop is a .25 cent question. Not pushing the flop cost you 25-35 dollars.

this is not true. this minraise doubles what the size of the pot is on every street compared to what it'd be without it. pots grow exponentially.
