Default When to raise preflop?

I play mainly 10 handed ring games - all NL from .5/1 to 3/6. I make a steady profit in excess of 5xBB/hr. However, having recently invested in Poker Tracker I find that I am only raising 4% of the time preflop. Most people seem to think that it should be above 7%. Where should I be getting this xtra 3% from? Does anyone know any good threads, links or articles I could read on preflop raising on mendium stakes NL holdem online? (I tend to play multiple tables, and consequently play much tighter than I would on just a single table.)

Any ides/suggestions?

What is the optimum preflop raise % on this type of table for a tight player who play aggressively after the flop?

it's probably low from not stealing the blinds often enough.

There are many different styles of NL play. The amount you raise PF should depend on that. Which style wins the most? Well, that depends on the table your at.

Agreed, but, as I said, I tend to play multiple tables, which I find gives me a higher hourly rate than playing one higher stake table. Obviously, this reduces one's ability to assess one's opponents and increases the predictability of one's play. However, because of the amazingly weak play on low-medium stake online NL ring games I still find that I return a decent profit simply by being selective in my starting hands and playing aggressively after the flop. I'm just interested to know, from other players adopt this strategy, what they believe to be the optimum PFR% for a tight aggressive player.

I accept the ealier point, that I might not be stealing enough blinds, as I probably use the auto fold in turn button too frequently in late positions rather than waiting to see if anyone else enters the pot ahead of me.

Any other suggestions?
