Default \"Tourney players are idiots\" -Mike Matusow

http://live.cardplayer.com/poker_tou...mp;video_id=45

The vidoe of Mike M. is hilarious, and he is more jokey than ussual. Even though he is annoying he has a good point, people who watch the wpt and such are being taught to love coinflips way too much, too much preflop pushing really diminishes the skill of the game, which is mainly seen postflop. Hope the main even is not all played preflop.

Sure he sounded like like a dick, but he was pretty [censored] funny during the whole thing.

your idea of funny and my idea of funny differ a lot.

He was attempting to cover up what he considered a bad beat story with what he considered humour. He was beat preflop and he wasn't funny.

Tough luck.

Love him or hate him, he was 100% correct about everything. I mean, how many times have you said almost the exact same thing?

You clearly commit yourself, and then the guy raises you allin with NO FE whatsoever holding 33. This is a good way to play poker?

Hey, when he's right, he's right.

And he's right. The people he's talking about get these moves on the Travel Channel, they take them out of context, and then they put them to play in the Real World.

I, for one, would rather get outplayed.

When your opponent gets you to put all your chips in the pot with the inferior hand, you have been outplayed.

It seems people just don't like the aggressive style of play used by many new players because they don't have the defensive resources to play against it. It looks like it's time to improve your games.

Maybe you should put yourself on timeout for condescension.

What I meant was that although the hands turned out to be best, the players making the plays, in many cases, seem not to understand that they are pushing a way behind/nominally ahead situation.

I do not feel as if my post warranted such a scathing response, by the way. Who should I see about that?

That analysis is flawed. Because they are the ones who are doing the pushing. I'll let others elaborate.

Default David, I usually agree with you, but you\'re wrong here

Surely you know if a guy raises to 20,000 and you have 30,000 and you go all in, the guy calls with any two and is correct to. That is the situation Matusow and Rushmore were talking about.

Maybe I should have finished with "...against a player who will definitely not be folding."
