Default Yo, Seattle Posters

We won a free trip and will be getting a long weekend in seattle. We are staying somewhere downtown. Need good restaurant recommendations. Other recs welcome. Won't be playing any poker.

What kind of meal budget are you looking at? The recommendations will likely vary depending on that. From the Metropolitan Bar and Grill, to eating fish and chips at Ivars on the waterfront, there are a ton of options though.

My guess is that we will go for one or two expensive dinners. So a mix of places is good. Good casual local places for lunches and breakfasts are required too. Recs regardless of budget are fine.

Daniel's Broiler is good for steaks, but don't forget your wallet. I'll keep thinking about it. My standards for great food took a huge jump when I went on an Alaska cruise for my honeymoon. Daniel's still makes the list, but barely. What kinds of food do you like/hate?

for an expensive dinner going to the Met is mandatory.

for cheap lunch any fish places on the warf, mini doughnuts from a stand in pike place market, the pike street bar and grill, and pagliacci pizza are whta come to mind.

(yes i know it says i live in vegas, I do. but i spent the last 5 years in seattle)

OK, so others have mentioned the Met already. Do a search for Metropolitan Bar and Grill, it's downtown. For nicer dining, I'd also recommend Canlis, which is just north of town, and has a nice view of the city/lake Union IIRC.

If you like beer, I would recommend lunch or dinner at Hale's Ale which is just north of the city. Their brewery has a ton of great beers. Any of the McMenamins bars are also good.
