Default Is it profitable to buy the half point from +7 to +7.5 for a dime?

Namely, I'm asking this for the NYG/SD game. Wondering whether it is profitable to push the +7 up to +7.5

From what I've read, opinions are mixed and depend on what data you use and exactly how you break it down (i.e. do you base your calculation of the total # of games ending with a 7-pt margin, # of games where the FAV wins by exactly 7 or the # of games where a 7-PT-FAV wins by exactly 7).

Conventional wisdom says it IS worth buying on/off the 3 for 20-cents or less, and on/off the 7 for 10-cents or less and nothing else is worthwhile.

FWIW, I generally do buy off the 7 for 10-cents (and did on NYG), but I think it's relatively close.
