Okay.

I am no expert on this, nor do I consider myself one. I know that on Etrade, I had to use the symbols EONLF, PYGMF, and NTLRF to purchase these securities. I suppose if you have a different broker then maybe things work differently.

I don't know much about investing except that the rake is hellish.

It really did not backfire.

Sending a cautious note early just took some speculative air out of the stock which for my taste was a tad overpriced anyway given the intrinsic risk (what happens if they are successfully attacked by US legislation or intenet hackers? Short-term it would have a big downward effect on the price because it is a) overpriced and b) a lot of its investors could be very fickle). It is a financially sound company with a very, very good perspective for profit growth. Nothing to see here...

Party is a good investing if a shock event is happening to the stock and the stock goes down to 40 or something.

Yeah, look, were you around in the 90s? The whol Internet bubble thing? The expansion eventually drops out, and while the industry isn't demolished, it is more competitive for thoese who choose to stay in the game. It is harder to profit, and the margins drop quickly. That leads to a lot of people getting out.

I'm not saying online poker is dead, but there are only going to be so many new entrants in years to come, and those that stick around will be better.

Alot of the tech stocks of the late 90's had huge valuations and no real earnings, and unattainable expectations.

With online poker though, they are cash cows and have great earnings, these companies will be there because there making money and alot of it, but not at the very high rate some had thought.

Alot of companies would kill for the growth rate of online poker
