Re: Its official, PV is now for sale
you have no clue how long amir has spent on this project and it did start out as a non for profit project. Poker is fun but I still don't play without real money. I don't see a market out there for hand converters.

Re: Its official, PV is now for sale
I don't have PV (I use GT+). For those with PV, will your current copy work and you still get to use it for free?

Who thinks the old version (Free) runs off system clock?
Who think it would be EV+ to just not let the system clock update pass the expiration date. SFWUSC |

Re: Its official, PV is now for sale
i set the clock back a day because of PV expiring on me recently (no stable update was posted to their site yet). party sets the timestamp on the hand histories by your local time, so this can really screw things up accounting-wise in your pokertracker database.

Re: Its official, PV is now for sale
True.
I have until 5/30 to decide on paying for it. I would pay $25 without a second thought. $50...i will likely have to pay. I play say 8,000 hands or 2/4 a month(during school), and now i have the summer(more hands). $50/$4=12.5BB 12.5/80= 0.156 BB per 100 hands. that is to make it pay for itself in a month. I think i just talked myself into it. SFWUSC |

The reality is that Pat has underpriced PokerTracker for a long time.PokerTracker should cost at least $100 for all that it does.$50 for PV ..I will pay it without a qualm. Is $50 a little pricey for what it does..no way!PV is a great tool as long as it's still allowed. The problem is u guys are using PT as a reference on cost.PT should cost $150-200 and PV's $50 would be inline with that.PV also kicks ass on GT imo so comparing the 2 doesnt cut it.I use GT on rooms where PV wont work.I woulnt be surprised to see PT priced higher sometime soon as well. [/ QUOTE ] What you are missing is the FACT that PT DOES only cost $55 regardless of whether you think it is under-priced or not. PV should be priced as an addon. I would say $20-$25. If and when PT ever increases it's price, then PV could follow suit. You can only go on the current state of affairs. If you would be willing to pay what you THINK a product is worth each time you would probably be broke. |
