Volunteer. Either find a favorite museum that complements your history background, or some other cause. These are a good way to meet altruistic chicks.

that's not a bad idea. anyone have any good volunteering experiences? i just looked at a list of volunteer oppurtunities in my area and none seemed particularly interesting. maybe prison visitor where you go to the prison and socialize with cons.

What did you sign up for in the Army that only requires a 14 month commitment?

i'm in the reserves. starting next september we can sign a 1 year contract that involves 6-months workup training, and 6 months deployment. and i'm going to be doing some summer training in july/august so 14 months.
