Default Low Pockets out of position vs. pre-flop raiser...

I felt that the turn bet on the two was a little strange...thought he was trying to take the pot away from me, unless he had checked a big ace on the flop (or big pair, fearing an ace).

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].

Hero checks, UTG+2 checks.

Turn: (2.75 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)

Check fold the turn. Even if you are ahead, there are at least 6 cards that will help him. If you are behind, you are only going to lose more bets. The pot is small.

Without a good read on villain, I check/fold every street.

Why else would he check the flop and call a turn raise on a blank unless he totally missed the flop?

Because he's playing 99-KK like a little girl.

TT, JJ, QQ, KK and slowplayed 99 and AA all come to mind.

Or he's playing KTs like a loose calling station...

Haven't read the other responses yet...

This is the same type of hand that I have trouble with. I think you should fold to the turn bet, if only because the pot is so small and you're losing to pretty much any real hand. Even a realistic hand you're beating (hard to think of one... maybe Jh Th?) has a ton of outs to beat you. I hope I would just fold when the pot is so small.

this play is totally read dependent. a lot of normally aggressive opponents will get cute and check this flop with AA-AT. I don't like the turn c/r here unless you think he's capable of folding a better pp. same with the river bet.
