10/20, two power hands
Wondering how I played these, where I could have squeezed out more value:
1. 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. I Limp from UTG, 2 MP callers, Button raises, SB folds, BB calls, I call, 2 MPs calls. Button is somewhat tight, aggressive. Flop: 4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] SB checks, BB checks, I bet, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, Button raises, BB folds. I call. Turn: J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I check, he bets, I raise, he calls. River: I bet, he calls. 2. UTG with K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I call. MP1, MP2, MP3, CO limps, button raises, SB folds, BB calls, I call, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, MP3 folds. Flop: 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I bet, everyone folds around to button who raises. I call. Turn: 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I check, button bets, I raise, he calls River: A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I bet, button ____. |

I would actually fold both hands UTG. Jeff [/ QUOTE ] yeah, hand 1 is obviously table dependent and for most online mid limit games is a fold. But, it appears from the hands (I'm streching with this one) these tables are loose enough to limp all low pairs UTG. |

Re: 10/20, two power hands
Table is very loose, and most hands are played passively preflop. Three bets are as rare as there are good players at this table. 44 is standard, trips will land a nice profit.
KJ was a bit more risky, I agree. I guess here I was just gambling at a loose table. Any post flop comments? |

Re: 10/20, two power hands
both hands: fold preflop, 3-bet the flop, if you dont 3-bet the flop, you have to bet the turn in hand 2 at least

I call. MP1, MP2, MP3, CO limps, button raises, SB folds, BB calls, I call, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, MP3 folds. [/ QUOTE ] How in the hell can MP3 fold here, what kind of 10/20 game is this? This sort of play has the fish reminding that guy about pot odds |

Re: 10/20, two power hands
I would still fold pf. On these draw heavy boards, you shouldn't be worried about extracting value, you should knock people out, especially in the KJ hand you must 3bet the flop.

Re: 10/20, two power hands
Hand 1 isn't that bad. If its a passive limpy table, limping seems fine here. Seems fairly standard from there, although betting out is debatable.
Hand 2 makes me want to cry. KJ utg? Instead of calling, hit fold, and order some pizza with the money you just saved. Hell, order TWO pizzes. And while you are eating the pizza, write yourself a sticky that says "I folded KJo UTG, and it tasted GOOD." But, once you are there, check that river IMHO. I wonder when my pizza gets here, I just folded KJo. Nick |
