Default K8s: could\'ve made more chips?

I've been reading this forum for quite some time (not just the STT forum, but all 2+2 forums). Now that I started playing the STT's I thought it was time I posted a hand (sorry, couldn't find a converter for Pacific).

Should I have bet less on the flop? Also, any thoughts on the pre-flop raise are welcome...

Half pot is fine to lead out. Villian may still fold. Can't give a free card with a flush draw out there.

Welcome,

Eh...the 'desperate' push is fine. If anything, it might even be more quickly called by a lessor hand had you 'value' bet with 1/2 your remaining stack.

With a read, an open push PF could be marginally +EV. With bigstack in the SB, able to call your small, but personally substantial number of chip raise, building an easily committing pot for you, folding PF isn't that bad either IMO.

I wasn't going to give a free card, I'm not really the slow-playing kinda guy, but I was a bit concerned my bet was too big.
But then again, just as bluefeet mentioned, the push could come off as a 'desperate' action.

And as always, I'd rather win a small to medium size pot than losing chips.
