i believe it's a phrase from the STT forum (which I don't read) and I like it. And it is SO true. I can't [censored] stand it when people say stuff that is COMPLETELY anti-[censored]-thetical to all correct poker theory.

better players adjust accordingly to varying game conditions, that is why they are "good". the predictable players are just as awful as the gamblers that continuously stick it in the middle with the worst of it. when your opponent maintains a static range of hands to match their betting patterns, it becomes easy for those alert enough to take advantage of the gaps in his game.

Honestly though, when I'm not hitting cards, I'd much rather play against a group of tight players than a bunch of super-loose calling stations. Of course, if you're running well and hitting flops, you'll profit way more against bad players.
