[ QUOTE ]
the push is probably better, I read it quick, didn't realize the call was that much of your stack.

That sort of brings up a semi-related theoretical situation. What if I was in the BB with AJo in the same situation (BB = 100, MP big stack open limps, CO pushes 240, all fold to me, I have ~1100 after posting). Clearly I have to at least call here. Anyone push here? I think this would be alot closer. If you call, you're probably not going to get bet off the hand unless you are beaten (since the other player would be bluffing a dry sidepot).

The big danger would be if the limper pushed after your call...

My thinking when I first suggested the call was precisely that you will very rarely be bet off the better hand. I also think for that reason you will see the turn/river more cheaply than you will usually (thereby taking away some of the reasons for pushing preflop). I think you call, and hope he doesn't push, but if he does, fold.

Of course all this is assuming that the big stack understands dry side pots (a relatively big assumption).
