I'm around the 20's. I barely cash in on any of them.

A good player knows varience when he/she sees it. A bad player calls it cold cards and doesn't bother to fix his leaks.

You're probably not doing something right. You probably don't have much experience to know when you're hitting a patch of varience. Which also means your game isn't probably all that great. Time to study, learn, practice and stop whining about cold cards.

Instead of whining take action. Otherwise, you're just wasting time.

Thanks for speaking more. I can't say I'm a terrible player, but I'm not great either. But I do feel like something isn't going right. Maybe I am a bad player.

So what is your suggestion on taking action within variance?

I'm not saying you're getting cold cards but it probably wouldn't hurt you to learn a bit more about the game. Starting hands, what position to play them in. How to read players, betting patterns etc etc etc. Basically study the game more.

There are always people in life who blame others for their own faults. Poker has a lot of those people. They blame the sites, the cards, the opponents, the day of the week, what they ate for lunch! Anything, as long as it's not their fault. You can already say you probably aren't a "great" player. Good start. Go from there. Read a few forums, read a few books, learn all you can about the game. You'll probably see a huge difference in what you call "cold cards". It's likely you'll find it wasn't the cards at all.

I have read a few, I am reading a few, and I will be reading a few more after Christmas.

I just went to a real casino tonight and won 80$. Then I come here and can't buy a set (or a high card).
I don't know, I was just thinking , I'm not as patient on my computer than I am in a casino. I think it's the atmosphere....

Well you're a recreational player. If you like playing at a casino, then play at a casino.

I'm trying to go beyond that. I play online almost 24 hours a day. If I'm not doing anything else, I'm playing poker on my computer. The casino is an hour away so it's not always convenient to drive there.
