Default Re: True Poker CEO would you care to respond?

I was gonna leave this alone but after reading the responses on RGP I just had to post here.
OK, let me get this straight.

1. You said you sent a check for either $650.00 or $80.00 to True
Poker.
2. Said check went REGULAR freaking Mail.
3. In the meantime, you decided to contact Customer Support because
you thought they could spot you the amount you SAID that you sent.
4. Customer Support wasn't quite as stupid as you thought and only
ponied up $14.00.
5. No check showed up so True Poker puts your account on hold pending
receipt.
6. You get pissed at True Poker because they put your account on
hold.

That about sum it up???

Try this scenario.

1. You go to the grocery store down the street
2. You tell them that you just MAILED them a check for either $650 or
$80
3. You contact the store manager and ask if they can spot you the
groceries that you are planning to buy.
4. After said Manager picks himself off the floor from his hysterics,
and while holding his side which now aches from laughing, he tells you
that he will allow you to pick up some Beanie Weenie cans worth $14.
The $14 will come out of the check you sent.
5. After a number of days no check shows up.
6. You go back to the store to get some more stuff and the Manager is
getting annoyed with exactly how stupid you are. He tells you no more
handouts
7. You get pissed at the store because they are not playing fair...

About sum it up????

Default What a stupid world

This issue is inane for two reasons.

1.)The poster clearly has no idea what it takes to run a business. The fact that True Poker advanced him ANYTHING at all is testimony to the fact that they're willing to go above and beyond. Slamming them in public is utterly unreasonable, considering the fact that they never even received the alleged draft (which you--heh, heh--MAILED to them via USPS).

2.) These issues need to be resolved on a larger scale. When is this stupid country going to realize that American citizens love to play poker against one another for money? When will they realize that there are mountains of untaxed dollars changing hands already, and that it's never going to change? When will we, the poker-playing public, be permitted to play the game we love without being made to feel like criminals? All they need to do is to legalize internet "gambling sites," set up simple funding options, and let us play the **&&*%)^ game.

Soapbox removed. Thanks for your time.

Default This has gotten absurd!

Stage,

First off don't put words into my mouth . I never requested the full amount to be credited before they got anything. I just simply requested if it all possible TO be credited a small amount like 7.00 for a tournament out of good faith. They never had to credit anything. If you took enough time out of your busy pointless life you may have read my response to the true poker ceo. But after reading your post I can see you did not.

What is wrong with you people? You think it is normal for a site to ban someones account because they extened a measly 14.00 to them, and then something out of their entire control such as the mail loused up somehow happens? What has this place come to? I mean you really think that is a good way of doing buisness? Maybe a good way of doing buisness would have just been to not give me anything, in hindsight I would have rathered that. Anyway don't be so quick to jump on the side of these site owners. You are basicly sticking up for people running games considered to be illegal in the U.S. AND THINK NEXT TIME BEFORE YOU ATTACK SOMEONE! YOU ONLY MAKE YOURSELF LOOK FOOLISH.

Whose good faith? Obviously not yours since the check never arrived. Wire transfers, Western Union, NetTeller, FirePay, many options rather than mailing a check.

OK, since you seem to think that I have plenty of time and energy to waste on you, I'm gonna waste a few minutes. I am sitting at work before anyone else comes in anyway. Here you go...

First of all, Management at TP was completely within their rights to suspend your account. You were not "banned". Your account is on hold until the funds YOU PROMISED arrive. Why are you even griping about this? If you have no money, you can't play anyway.

Secondly, I am sure that the management of TP and all of it's players absolutely want you on their site with $80 or $650 dollars available. Because anyone who would stick a CHECK in the mail without using Priority or a Courier Service (FedEX etc.) that could be traced with a tracking number is the type of person that they definitely would want on their site. Loads of +EV there. And dont give me the bs that you couldn't send it that way. They get checks and drafts like that all the time. Most people are smart enough to make sure that their money is going to go where it was intended.

You are basicly sticking up for people running games considered to be illegal in the U.S

Your kidding, right? Umm, seems to me that everyone on here supports the online gaming industry. Or, in one obviously glaring case, tries to be supported BY the online gaming industry.

Tell ya what, go to your nearest B&M Casino, tell THEM that you just mailed a check and could they please extend credit (in your words, in good faith) for a tourney or two, and see what happens.

A quick word of warning. Don't go to a gunfight armed with only a knife. Also, in attacking a post on a forum such as this, refrain from making it too personal. Someone might take offense and really filet your azz. I was kind in this case because I suspect that there might be an outside chance that you are telling the truth. Which, if you think about it, makes it even sadder.

Ok then,

I suppose the one way to prove to everyone here that you were telling the truth, would be to send Truepoker a cheque for $14. At which point I am sure that we would get a public appology from Truepoker CEO that we ever doubted your integrity,

Rom

Default First off

Again no one forced them to give me any kind of comp. Second when I try to log on it says I have been permenently banned from true poker.

Furthermore, I am not going into a fight with a knife. You are an outside observer who until recently knew nothing about this case. I am the one who was involved in it thus knowing far more about it than you. I just love how someone can come here and put down someone who they don't know without knowing all the facts. I am not asking for peoples sympathy I just thought people should know how true poker treats their customers. Again only one draft was sent. And that was cancelled a few days ago. I will send them the 14.00 so they don't have a hissy fit and be done with it. Not likely I will play there again even if they un ban my account. And something all should know about the place. They are the worst when it comes to promos. They have virtually no promotions. They used to have 3 500.00 freerolls per week with no play requirement. Now they just have three 200.00 tourneys with a 50 point buy in meaning you have to play 50 raked hands just to play in the tournament. Other than that their point system is useless and their are far better sites out there that actually appreciate their players IMHO. Nuff said.

I just thought I'd waste some time on this as well and urge anyone scrolling through to just read Stagemusic's first post and move on. Stage, you nailed it.

And Truepoker CEO, I guess you just can't be nice to morons.

Thank you. It is amazing to me the angles that people try to shoot. This is why the cheaters get away with it...no one calls them out
