Never played any Diablo games, but wasted 5 years laying EQ. At least I made money and used for a new addiction.

I just started a few days ago and I'm a total n00b, but I'm having fun. Anybody else play?

I beat the game in single player a long time ago. Then a couple years ago over winter break I started playing online. Played a bunch for a couple weeks, got a lvl 50 something character, realized the game was boring and stopped. It's fun for a bit, but really repetative.

2 felt way more repetitive than 1 to me. The dungeons had more variety in 1. I grew tired of 2 very quickly, but 1 blew me away and I played it endlessly. One hell of a good game.

Like usual with Blizzard games, though, too many cheats and hacks, and one of the worst player communities possible.

Pwn you all. my buddie ran 8 versions of this at one time, for like 5/hrs a day, and made about 40 an hour selling SOJ's or something on Ebay. He and his dad did this, and they went to Hawaii w/ the family. Intense, but i play a little.

Was Diablo the one where the guy jams the rock in his head to contain the evil?

Yeah, that's the last movie scene in the first Diablo. Then he goes wandering off into the wilderness.

Yeah, I think that was the cinematic ending for Diablo I. Or was that the beginning to Diablo II?

Mysterious hero aka Warrior contains Diablo into a Soulstone I believe, and the only way to control his power was to merge with it by sticking it into his body.
