Default weak/tight or standard?

Villain (CO): 52/0 over 23 hands

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (9 handed) converter

saw flop|<font color="#C00000">saw showdown</font>

MP3 ($74.00)
CO ($92.00)
Hero ($118.00)
SB ($77.00)
BB ($104.00)
UTG ($38)
UTG+1 ($103.00)
MP1 ($119.00)
MP2 ($91.00)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">4 folds</font>, MP3 calls $1, CO calls $1, Hero calls $1, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, BB checks.

Flop: ($4.50) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
BB checks, MP3 checks, <font color="#CC3333">CO bets $3</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $7</font>, BB folds, MP3 folds, <font color="#CC3333">CO raises to $25</font>, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $36.50

Results in white below: <font color="#FFFFFF">
No showdown. CO wins $36.50. </font>

Do I put him on TT? I know the amount I raised didn't show much strength but I'm not prepared to risk much on this hand and I sure made that clear

Should I be raising preflop with some regularity?

Should the line be, either cold call him or raise standard/large, like to 9 or 10? If I raise stronger and he 3bets I can be more certain that my fold is good.

I don't know him to be a rammerjammer so maybe this raise is all that's needed. What do you think?

I think you could have raised a tad more, but the fold is good regardless.

I think because you are raising and not betting, the size of your raise should be the size of the pot that includes your call of her bet, so $4.50+$3+$3=~$10. This makes it incorrect for any draw to call, but I guess it depends what you think CO is holding.

why raise tptk on fairly dry board against likely a loose player?

There are plenty of overcards that come and kill your hand, and you are raising to either take the pot now or charge your opponents to draw.

EDIT: I really think I'll be raising any TPTK less than AQ here barring a read on my opponent.

Isnt this hand a bit weak to just call with here? T-K, any 8 are all scare cards, villain has already bet out so your call would just define your hand but not hers. Do you think differently?
