I'd be sure to get some free comps from Harrah's as well.

Absolutely. Threaten to sue if necessary.

Glad to hear you are alright after that - pretty scary. I was playing at the Peppermill in Reno several years ago when the poker room was by the front desk (it was a totally enclosed room) and had a player jump over the table at me. He actually went between myself and the dealer, and hit his head on the wall, splitting his eyebrow open. It was pretty funny. Security hauled him away.

That was ballstothewall of that asian guy to do. With that in mind you shouldnt press charges. Instead you should give him some respect for handling it like a hardass.

"he and I really didn't even have a heated exchange."

Maybe those quiet guys who are silently stewing are the guys to watch out for. And it seems to me that the guys who try to pull angles all the time, as you described this guy, might be prime suspects.

I'm usually one of the first guys to try to be funny or make a joke out of things, but I was really despressed reading your post. Thankful you're OK, but what an ugly thing to read and think about. Your mentioning of a gun or knife makes me think that, with the influx of new players in cardrooms it is, unfortunately, only a matter of time before a gun or knife does indeed come into play. What passes for security where I play, one of the biggest cardrooms (if not the biggest) in the world, is virtually non-existent. Snakehead and I have privately discussed one player in particular who we feel is borderline (or worse) psychotic and how likely it might be that something very bad happens one day with him involved.

I agree totally with what you are saying Andy. I really feel it's just a matter of time before somebody goes postal at the Commerce and takes out a half dozen people. Bad people are just that - and when they're desperate and have lost the last money that they had (or worse, have borrowed), then you have a recipe for disaster.

in all my years i have only seen a few get shot or stabbed. usually they just hit someone as they dont want to get barred for life. remember they are degenerate gamblers first off. so i wouldnt worry too much.

i would make a claim against the casino as they were being crappy to him so they deserve the suit.

That's a great story. I'm glad you're ok. Was it a beer in a bottle?

I hope you prosecute/sue this [censored] as much as possible.
