How to Datamine

This has to be a dumb question, but how exactly do you datamine party?

Do you just open tables? Do you have to open tables and PT? Do you have to be seated?

I opened up 10 tables before I left work yesterday came back and 7 new hands were imported in PT. Also, Party closed all the table windows and a network status paged opened in IE.

Am I doing something wrong? I think I might be retarded.

The way I do it is open the tables, open PT and set its timer to auto-import hand histories every ten minutes... You have to make sure that it's importing observed hands on the observed hands tab.
