Fold preflop? Are you kidding me?
I agree w/ the rest of what you said though; definitely check behind on the turn, and as OP played it, I think it's a pretty standard fold, as he's likely drawing pretty thin . . . |

Re: AQo Party $10/20 hand
Villian does not have a flush. My guess is two pair something like q 10 without a spade. He doesn't want u to catch a free spade or higher 2 pair. FOLD.

Re: AQo Party $10/20 hand
I think this is a fold preflop as well - I hate unsuited high cards that don't equal AK. You better know your opponent's MP opening range to call here (and how he plays postflop).

Re: AQo Party $10/20 hand
In my opinion, your play on the turn here was absolutely horrendous. Getting CR'ed here is a disaster. If Villain has a set or a low flush (both or which are possible), you just gave away your chance to draw to the remaining spades. Just check behind.
If you decide to bet (which is a bad idea), make it a real one, not $350 into a $980 dollar pot. You probably are behind and you have no chance of causing a better hand to fold with that bet. This turn bet was so weak that we can't absolutely rule out the possiblity of a bluff CR with something like J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Tx. |
