Re: Is This Normal?!!
Doesn't have to be super low limit to see behavior like this. I've seen plenty of 10-20 and even some 20-40 games in which 5 to 8 players take the flop typically. Gotta love it.

50% and tight should not be in the same sentence in regards to poker. 8)
You had a major magoo fest table if 9 handed and 2/3 see every flop, all you do is tighten up and play straight forward, they obviously are too magoo'd to be paying much attention. Be prepared for a ton of suckouts, but if you get trips or better, only your raise button should be showing... THUMP THUMP THUMP! >TW< |

Re: Is This Normal?!!
Yes, it's very normal.
I flopped a nut flush draw on the button today and I had so many people in the pot that I was able to raise for value. Even if I only had 1 card to come that raise alone would have shown a positive EV. There must have been a lot of people in that pot with close to 0% equity. Unfortunately I busted that draw, but it was an incredibly juicy game. |

Re: Is This Normal?!!
Yeah when I first started playing in casinos I just could not understand how people can be playing every hand. I would raise UTG and get called with Q4o by UTG+1, and that's only the beginning. It took me a while to realize that these people aren't really doing anything wrong. The baad players are just there to have fun and try their luck at poker, just like they could at blackjack. To them, it's an oveall losing game with the possibility of luck in the short run...that's why they chase longshots, hoping to get lucky, but if they lose, it's no big deal to them, becuase they were just there to have fun. But after recently playing at a couple of tight tables, I realized how benefitial these morons are to the game. I hope they never go away.
