Cover play at Pokernow?

Since nobody (presumably) is receiving rakeback at PN now, is it +EV to leave a balance there and do cover play outside bonus periods?

I'm still confused by Party's objective in leaving PN open as a separate entity and killing affiliate relationships which would presumably defray the costs of "whoring."
