Default attack, retreat, or stand him down

opponent is 35/16/1.9/34 WTSD over 432 hands. He seemed unremarkable in the 3 orbits at the table.

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (6 max, 5 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

I think there are 2 otions here. Check-raise and fold the turn UI to a 3bet or check-call him down unless you improve and bet-fold the river.
Check-calling is not that great because you fear a K or Q.
If he will reraise me only with a better hand (and most players at this limit do), I go for the CR, call a 3bet and fold a brick turn.
If he doesnt 3bet me, I lead the turn.

Yeah, I think your far to vulnerable to be just calling down against this player. I'll just c/r the flop and expect him to fight back pretty quick if hes got me. You should be able to extract some value from draws so follow up on the turn.
